Shower floors have opposite rules from walls: small tile (it follows the slope), textured surface (wet bare feet), and grout that shrugs off shampoo and body oils. That's why mesh-mounted mosaics — porcelain penny rounds, 2x2 squares, pebble sheets — dominate good shower floors, and why epoxy grout is nearly mandatory. Large glossy tile on a shower floor is a slip-and-ponding machine; we talk customers out of it weekly.

Berlin notes
Kensington's older baths still run the original 4x4 wall tile over plaster, usually with a failing caulk line at the tub. The ranch baths are fiberglass tubs with surround panels yellowed at the seams — the classic re-tile trigger. Our default Berlin floor: porcelain 2x2 in a mid-tone gray with epoxy grout — grippy, forgiving, and still handsome in a decade. Berlin's most common call: a fiberglass surround gone yellow and chalky around a perfectly good tub — re-tile the walls, keep the tub.

They need proper grout packing — the failure mode is recessed grout trapping grime. Our pebble floors get full joints and epoxy grout, then clean normally.
Only if it's small or has real slip resistance — large polished wall tile on floors is a fall risk and won't follow slope. We'll find its grippy sibling.
Yes with caveats: honed (not polished), sealed, and maintained. Beautiful underfoot, needier than porcelain. We'll quote both honestly.
